Pizza Dip, your new favorite party treat

What's the first thing that comes to mind when you think of pizza? I think it's a safe bet to say you thought of a regular cheese pizza. Now what if i told you there was a new way to enjoy this fan favorite food?

For this month's Stello Foods pot luck the newest member of our team, Maggie, brought in Pizza Dip. Now what is that exactly? I’m glad you asked. Pizza dip is a layered appetizer consisting of cream cheese, sour cream, pizza sauce, shredded cheese, and any toppings of your choice.

Heres how its made:

• In a bowl combine a softened block of cream cheese, sour cream, shredded cheese,  and your choice of seasonings in a bowl. Spread this mixture evenly into the bottom of a baking dish

• Spread half of the dip into a casserole dish or skillet. On top of the first layer add half of your jar of pizza sauce. Add another layer of dip and cover it with pizza sauce as well.

• Top with the rest of your shredded cheese as well as any toppings you'd like

• Bake at 350°F for about 20 minutes, or until the cheese gets lightly browned.

• Serve with toasted baguette or tortilla chips
