Stello Foods is now USDA Certified Organic!

Stello Foods is now USDA Certified Organic!

We are Proud to announce that Stello Foods is now Certified organic!

What does being certified organic mean?

Some of our upcoming products will now be USDA certified organic, but don't worry, all of your favorite Stello foods products will stay just as they are. Our Organic products will have a certified seal on the label meaning that each ingredient in the product has been verified as organic by a USDA accredited certifier, for us that company is Pennsylvania Certified Organic (PCO). Along with all of the ingredients being organic, there are some other criteria we must follow. No artificial coloring or flavors can be used. The ingredients cannot be treated with unnatural pesticides, or be grown using synthetic fertilizers. Our facilities have also been brought up to certified organic standards, with no chance of cross contamination with non organic ingredients.

What does being certified organic mean to us?

Stello Foods has been working on getting our certification for a while now, and getting our certification means that along with our regular products we can also have organic versions of them! In recent times people are really paying attention to what they are eating, and we want to make sure we are meeting those expectations. Having the ability to make organic products expands our reach to those people looking for something a little healthier. This is also good news for our contract packaging customers, our certification will open new opportunities for them to design and create new organic recipes.

How can we help people now that we are certified organic?

We would love to help current and potential Customers develop new organic sauces. We will help source ingredients, provide advice on how to formulate a recipe, and provide production on a quick turnaround time. We will work hand in hand with you every step of the way to ensure a quality product

What's the difference between all the organics?

A lot of people don't know that there are different levels of organics

Here's the difference between the four kinds;

100% organic:

All ingredients are 100% organic, no ifs ands or buts

Organic:

The Product has to contain at least 95% organic. Only 5% of the ingredients used may be Nonorganic agricultural products,

Made with Organics:

The Products must be made with 70% to 95% organic produce.

Specific Organic:

Less than 70% of the produce used are organic. As long as the product contains some organic ingredient it can be listed in the ingredients list.
